The Montblanc Meisterstück 149 is the legendary flagship of Montblanc's writing instruments and one of the most iconic fountain pens ever made. Introduced in the early 1950s and still the "pen of presidents" today, the 149 is the largest Meisterstück, with a generously sized black precious-resin body, the famous white Montblanc star on the cap, three gold-plated cap rings and the classic gold-plated clip.
This piece carries the sought-after vintage two-tone 14K gold (Au 585) nib, engraved with the Montblanc emblem and the "4810" height of Mont Blanc, and hand-finished for a smooth, wet and expressive line. It is filled with Montblanc's traditional piston-filling mechanism and an ink window, so it draws ink straight from a bottle. Made in Germany.
Pre-owned in 90% condition, it comes with the original Montblanc "The Art of Writing" box and the Personal Montblanc Guide booklet — a beautiful collector's piece or a lifetime writing companion.
