What is a quartz watch?
A quartz watch is powered by a battery and kept accurate by a tiny vibrating quartz crystal, so it keeps time to within seconds a month and needs very little care. Quartz movements are also thinner and lighter, which makes them ideal for dress watches and everyday wear. Solar models such as Citizen Eco-Drive even recharge from light, so there is no battery to change.
