Citizen traces its roots to 1918 in Tokyo and has become one of the largest watchmakers in the world. In 1976 it launched the Crystron Solar Cell, a pioneering light-powered analog watch, and that idea grew into Eco-Drive: watches that charge from any light, so there is no battery to change. Citizen is known for dependable Japanese quality, strong value and technology such as titanium cases and radio-controlled time.
